ABOUT
Khaddiuggia Home Resort is an exclusive gated property, about one hectare wide distributed along a fantastic open sea front about 600 meters long from where it seems to be on the deck of a ship sailing in the Mediterrean sea.
Pantelleria was part of the Emirate of Sicily and the Islamic influence it’s still quite present as Khaddiuggia is the “Pantelleria” transliteration of Khadijia, the prophet wife.
“Khaddiuggia Home Resort” all fenced by high walls of volcanic stone has three (3) distinct residential areas which allow full exclusive privacy for a total of 14 (fourteen) fortunate guests.
A beautiful & luxurious ‘damnusi’ complex located in the historic district of Khaddiuggia (Pantelleria) 800 meters from the sea with an open view of 180°.
Entirely made of volcanic stone, the property is surrounded by 400 square meters of Sicilian “cotto” terraces, an infinity pool of 80 square meters, a charming outdoor living room furnished with original maghreb fabrics and a 80 sqm outdoor kitchen & dining area with wood oven and grill.
In the main “patronal” body dating back to 1600 there are three double bedrooms and two full bathrooms, a living room with fireplace in original zellige moorish mosaic and a fully equipped kitchen with a dining room overlooking the sea and indoor/outdoor living.
The whole property is built in Moorish style with refined furnishings of Moroccan, Turkish, Greek and Tunisian origins.
A guesthouse with two double bedrooms plus a bathroom with bath tub and small kitchen. A protected garden with hammam & relax area.
Another luxurious Pantesco “Garden” double suite of around 60 SQM paved with a Rhodian pebble mosaic, with full en-suite bathroom with rain shower, a new private pool and an incredible original khaïma nomad’s tent for two guests only luxurious “glamping” within the property.
About one hectare of surrounding land with olive grove, cacti and succulent area, 150 palm trees of various types, vegetable garden and various fruit trees (figs, citrus, zibibbo grapes, mulberry, carob).
There are in total 4000 square feet of terraces overlooking the sea all around a swimming pool of 80 square meters infinity pool, lounge, kitchen & dining dehors seating 12 happy diners, barbecue and wood-burning oven.
Resuming Khaddiuggia Home Resort has #3 separate areas within the very same gated property:
• Patronal Damnuso with #2 double double rooms (sharing the bathroom) plus the Patronal suite (with private bathroom) and a fully equipped main kitchen and living room, indoor & outdoor
• A lovely guesthouse (dépendance) with two double bedrooms sharing a full bathroom with bath tub, a small kitchen and beautiful dehors
• The Garden Suite (without the ceiling, only sky stars) for a fully natural experience exclusive for two guests with a large bathroom and dehors with a shared private pool with the original khaïma nomad’s tent for two guests only luxurious “glamping” within the property

“This is really a dream resort as described. A little heaven on Earth. We came here for one week for our honeymoon after spending days travelling Italy’s mainland. It is the perfect retreat. Large enough to host a good sized function like a wedding and intimate enough for 2 to enjoy a romantic getaway. Watch the video! There is a huge selection of books on site. The kitchen is absolutely fully equipped with everything you could imagine. The views are just fantastic. Really as described.
Andrea communication is just perfect. Polite, accurate and fast. We asked some questions which other hosts have found cheeky and replied in a condescending tone but never Andreas.
He also understood our point of view. Nicola Hospitality is excellent. He is there if you need him but not if you don’t. We left something behind and he can to chase us the airport to give us it before we left. He met us at the airport and guided us through to renting a car. We followed him to the house then showed us around, set up the WIFI and connected on WhatsApp. He checked up on us one in the week and was very cautious not to disturb. He was there upon check out. You won’t complain about a single thing. The island itself is just fantastic. So romantic it is literally unbelievable.
You must hire a car. Don’t worry about arranging one before you arrive as you can arrange that when you arrive at Pantelleria airport. Get an old panda or cinquecento instead of the modern option - it will only add to the romantic ness of the island. The house is less than 5 minutes from the airport and 10 from the main centre which is a cute little harbour with shops, supermarkets and restaurants. Everything closes on a Sunday except restaurants which open from around 7.30pm every day.
Very good fresh pasta is sold from the supermarkets and we like to eat a little earlier than restaurants opened so we ended up cooking most nights, actually every night except the first. If you enjoy good quality fresh food then this little island is awesome and cooking in the amazing house with all the facilities was a pleasure. This house is recommended for people looking for a peaceful getaway, honeymooners, authors artists and chefs looking to find inspiration. I can’t rate it highly enough.

In 6 adulti e 6 bambini abbiamo passato una settimana indimenticabile al Khaddiuggia Resort. Si tratta di un dammuso del 1600 sapientemente ristrutturato nel pieno rispetto delle regole dell'architettura pantesca. Dimora dotata di tutti i comfort in una posizione superpanoramica e tranquilla, strategica per visitare l'isola: 5 minuti di auto dal centro, dall’aeroporto e dal lago di Venere. Comoda e esteticamente eccezionale la piscina con il grande patio intorno e lo splendido giardino per non parlare dell’hammam ...hai la sensazione di trovarti veramente sul ponte di una nave. Cordialissimo e disponibile il proprietario come il suo referente sull'isola....più che ospiti ci siamo sentiti parte della famiglia. Le nostre figlie non volevano andar via. Comodissimo per 12 persone lo consigliamo vivamente a tutti...in special modo a famiglie con bambini. Torneremo sicuramente!
